Statement of Philosophy

The administration, staff, and Board of Trustees of Rosary Academy Learning Center believe that children should have access to an environment in which they will experience a sense of security and belonging while away from their homes.  We believe that this will best be accomplished by the dedication of loving, qualified professionals who view each child as a unique person in God’s family, possessing his or her own personal worth and dignity.

The programs of the Center will endeavor to nurture all areas of each child’s development.  The Center will strive to enhance an awareness of God and the loving concern of God for each child:  faith, justice, love, and peace being the lived experience of this relationship.  The personal talents and gifts of each child will be encouraged and developed through supervision of the planned and spontaneous interaction among peers and adults; thus developing a sense of identity and personal worth in each child.

Natural intellectual curiosity will be guided and encouraged, developing an enthusiasm for learning and discovering, which is appropriate for this age level.

Our policy of welcoming children of all races, creeds and nationalities provides an atmosphere of intercultural awareness and helps the child to experience harmony amidst different personalities, customs, and cultures.

Since the Center is located within an intergenerational setting, the potential for further growth and development is inherent in the interaction of these groups.

Realizing that children are the hope of a better world and heeding the words of Jesus,  “Let the little children come to me …” , Rosary Academy Learning Center is dedicated to its teaching ministry within the mission of the Catholic Church.
